I had happily set up some sites with the program, but then today I realized that in IE on some systems, the box display was a bit off and if I put any adsense ads in the bottom or middle, that they would prevent the category listings from displaying and the adsense format will look odd.

I fixed the formating of the blocks with a doctype command, but I still have a problem with the ads. I can put ads in all positions on the main page, but anything on the category pages and no listings show and all I get is a messed up ad.

Note this is only in IE and only some versions of IE. I have 3 pcs here and 2 of them it shows up wrong and 1 it is okay. On firefox it is fine.

and check out class sites. I will try to keep the ads there that mess it up, but I am still trying to figure out what the problem might be, so I might have the ads turned off from time to time.

Follow up... you can go to this category and see what I mean:

Category with Ad on Bottom

It looks fine in firefox but does not display properly in IE.

I still haven't gotten it to work.. I have been through everything I can think of today and I just don't know what is up.

Here is a screenshot of the ads in the bottom:

Anyways, if anyone is succesfully placing adsense on the bottom or middle of their skalink directory, I would love to check out your site and see why it is working for you.

Thanks

edit: Did some searching for some other skalinks sites, and the first one I found that had ads on the bottom was having the same problem in IE as I do.

Hello linky.
We have seen this bug. You can modify code to your notice or you can wait next version of SkaLinks. In next version we will necessarily fix that bug.

Okay I will see what I can do. I have asked google to take a look at it too. My terms of agreement I can't modify the code itself so I may have to do without those ad positions until an update.

I ended up getting ie_detect plugin for smarty and just made a few changes so it only shows middle and bottom ads for people not in IE.

Seems to be working, but will be looking forward to that next version.
