Hi, i am not sure why- i posted the question, and saw it was posted, but when clicked on forum it disappeared....
My question is that i want to move my directory to another domain. from mydomain1.com to mydomain2.com
So i just moved all files through ftp and it works, but all the links remains of mydomain1 .... if you click on any category, or add link or whatever, it goes to mydomain1.com/ctaegory etc... How do i change the URL i was entering during installation when i was installing this script on mydomain1.com domain.....
Or the only way is to delete everything and install from scratch to mydomain2.com domain.... But i do not want to loose all the links already submitted to my directory...

or would it be easier to reinstall on new domain from scratch? How do i make sure not to loose any data ( categories and all the links submitted) ?

Hi.
I've recently moved my skalink script... from a domain1.com like to domain2.com and was sucessfuly.
Here're the steps you should follow:
1. Have an exactly copy files of the domain1.com and also the database file (.sql).
2. Now upload all files to the domain2.com then import in your database the .sql file.
3. Now... access the URL install address, e.g.: www.domain2.com/install or www.domain2.com/skalinkscript/install
4. Follow the instructions showed on the loaded page.
5. You're Done!

I forgot to tell you that: If you don't have the install file...because you deleted it when you installed fist on domain1.com then you should download a fresh copy of skalinks script from here: http://www.skalinks.com/download.php
then just copy the folder INSTALL from the fresh copy and upload/paste to the domain2.com where is located the skalinks script.
After you sucessfuly finished the installation you should delete or rename the install folder.... GOOD LUCK. Reply if you need more assistance.
