Hi admin,
at first I would like to say, thank´s for these great script!
I try to use them on www.bau-katalog.de for the first time.
My question: is it normal, that the script don´t create folders for categorys automatcly? If I create a new category I must create the corresponding folder via ftp manualy.
During installation I have had the same problems like other people (I read in this forum). I had also to remove the .htacces file because I use a "normal" hosting package. Which effect will have the deleted .htacces file for the script? Thanks for the answers and sorry for my bad english ;-)

Hello Lemmy,
There should be one category in the directory after SkaLinks installation. If you want to add a category, you should not create the corresponding folder via ftp (as you’ve said). Click the “ADD CATEGORY” button that is located in the headbar menu. A new page would open. There are two main fields “Suggest Subcategory” and “Suggest Subcategory Directory”. In “Suggest Subcategory” field you should insert a category title, in “Suggest Subcategory Directory” field insert a category directory name using only A-Z, a-z, _ symbols. Fill in all other required fields and click the “SUBMIT CATEGORY” button.
As for your second question, .htacces file is a system file. You should also ask your hosting provider to disable Mod Rewrite option.
Best Wishes
P.S. Please, do not hesitate to ask any questions.
