I found that the only way for the program to find the linkback address is to save the page in .html. My problem is that I have everything in .php (which the backlink doesnt work for) is there a way to modify the coding to fit more than just .html?

Hello ZenofCyber,
The script searches for a site URL, where its link is located. And it doesn’t matter whether it is html or php. I think it's clear, isn't it?

I tried making a test page (test.php) that contained just the link in it, displayed perfectly on a browser, but the script did not pick up the link (came back invalid), I did the same for html (test.html) and comes back valid. So if it doesnt matter why is it still coming back invalid?

Hi ZenofCyber,
It seems that the backlinck search script directs it incorrectly. In the new SkaLinks version this error will be eliminated. I was wrong. Please, accept my apology.
If you have more questions, please, do not hesitate to ask.
Best Regards
