I dont like the directory style look and feel, i feel that my site can easily just display a list of links and catagories all on one index page.

For example if i had a PET related website, I would like to display the following categories and their links ALL on one page. Maybe call it /links.php, below is an example of what im referring to.

Cats Websites
<link 1>
<link 2>
<link 3>
<link 4>
<link 5>
Add your link under this category.

Dog Websites
<link 1>
<link 2>
<link 3>
<link 4>
<link 5>
Add your link under this category.

Horse Websites
<link 1>
<link 2>
<link 3>
<link 4>
<link 5>
Add your link under this category.

Hampster Websites
<link 1>
<link 2>
<link 3>
<link 4>
<link 5>
Add your link under this category.

So it would all be done on one page instead of multiple pages. I just dont think I will exchange reciprical links with enough websites for the directory option to be good for my visitors.

Can someone please tell me if it is possible and what i would have to edit to achieve this style of listing ? Thanks a ton, im really looking forward to make these small changes.

This looks like maybe you should have a wiki or something instead of a directory. My guess is this would be a big change in the template structures... but can't fault you for asking... in fact I am interested to see what SKA says about it.

Yes, it is possible. But, as Stevieray said, there would be the big changes. It is not so easy to explain what and where you should change.
