when editing my headers file after changing it and saving it the file wont upload but instead states

all that i changed was the site description to
$_site_description = 'Got a website? Want free advertising for free traffic? We have over 1000 places to advertise for free on the internet. Free ads means 100% profit!';
is something wrong with this?

The problem seems to be that the file transfer failed. That is why you have an FTP error. Try again, check you FTP permissions etc. or worst case just edit the file "live" on your web space to make the change.
