I had a directory at w3Host.info. I decided to start a new directory based on this old one at httpmaster.com.
I backed-up my database and loaded it onto the new hosting account on the new server.
I uploaded everything in the skalinks software/script package, and then used the install script.
Afterwards, the admin section works just great, but I get an error everytime I try to load the directory or a function of the directory (search for a link, etc...)
How would this work for all the admin functions, but not the directory functions?
The directory generates a 500 Internal Server Error.
I look at the error log and I see:
-------------------------------------
[27-Sep-2006 06:39:51] PHP Warning: main(/home/www/httpmaster.com/dir/smarty/Smarty.class.php) [<a href='function.main'>function.main</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/w3master/public_html/dir/headers.php on line 75

-----------------------------------------
Does that help? I am miffed.
I appreciate all the help I can get. ;)

OK...
I had to replace this:
/home/www/httpmaster.com/dir/
with this:
/home/w3master/public_html/dir/
in the Headers.php file for $_dir_root.
Apparently, I kept leaving off the dir/ part.
But now I have another problem. Anytime I click [LOGOUT] I am returned to the admin control panel (and logged in). This way I can't check out how the directory looks.
