Hi,

I followed the instructions to remove the News from the Control Panel in this thread,

http://www.skalinks.com/forums/index.php?action=vthread&forum=1&topic= 179

Now I cannot login to my Directory.

Do you know why?

Thanks,

Will

Hi skalinks,

Thanks for your reply. I'm sure i deleted the right code. Just to be sure i uploaded the backup and tried to login. I'm using the correct username and password but when i try it seems to hang and can take up to 10 mins for anything to happen. Then it times out and then when i visit mydomain/dir/admin/ i'm logged in.

Then to logout i click the logout button but it doesn't seem to work. I go to the directory main page and still have all the admin options available.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Will

Hi Skalinks,

Yes, i have cookies enabled. I'm using IE6 and FireFox 1.5. I've tried submitting a link just like a visitor would and the same thing happens, it seems to hang and after a few minutes the page times out.

The directory (not yet 100% finished) is boogle.co.uk/dir

Many Thanks,

Will O'Hara

Hi Skalinks,

I tried the instructions here (http://www.skalinks.com/forums/index.php?action=vthread&forum=1&topic = 179) again and this time everything works fine. I can login straight away.

However, i'm still having the same problem with add a link, it waits for ages and then eventually times out.

Will

Hi Skalinks,

I've sent you an email to admin@skalinks.com but have had no reply.

Could someone try and add a link in one of the categories of my directory to test it? If you can't add a link could you post the error you get? Thanks,

http://www.boogle.co.uk/dir/

Hi Skalinks,

I know you said that the PR wouldn't work with my hosting but how can i change it so that the PR bar doesn't show at all? At the moment all links will show 0, i think it'd be best if it just didn't show the PR at all.

Thanks,

Will

Hello Will OHara
Open the cat.tpl file in templates folder.
Find this code
{assign var=pagerank value=$links.Pagerank*10}
PR: {$links.Pagerank}<br>
<table cellspacing=0 width="45" style="border:1px solid #000;height:5px; "><tr>{if $pagerank}<td bgcolor="#5abb5a" width="{$pagerank}%"></td>{/if}<td bgcolor="white"></td></tr></table>
<br>

and delete it.
Thank's!
