Permissions are 777 for
directory
directory/cache
directory/compile
All else was left at default 755
I went through the install page and get this:

Warning: mysql_query(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/jackso7/public_html/lunarforumsdirectory/install/index.php on line 111
Warning: mysql_select_db(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/jackso7/public_html/lunarforumsdirectory/install/index.php on line 140
Could not select database lfsites: Access denied for user: 'rickj@localhost' (Using password: YES)
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Please, check the mysql username, password, hostname and database name, which you inserted into the fields in installation form.
